Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 12, 2026

Direct Shot ("the app") is built with a simple principle: your photos and videos are yours. The app does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data.

What the app does

Direct Shot uses your device's camera and microphone to capture photos and videos, then saves them directly to iCloud folders you choose. All of this happens on your device — we have no servers, no accounts, and no analytics.

Permissions

These permissions are used solely to provide the app's core functionality. No data leaves your device except to your own iCloud account.

Third parties

Direct Shot does not use any third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking tools. No data is sold or shared with anyone.

Google user data

Direct Shot connects to your Google Drive only to let you browse your folders, create new folders, and upload the photos and videos you capture directly to the folder you choose. Your media is transferred directly from your device to Google Drive. Direct Shot does not read, download, or store the contents of files already in your Drive, and it does not send your Google account data to any external server operated by Direct Shot or third parties.

Direct Shot's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not sell it, share it, or use it to train machine-learning or AI models.

Dropbox user data

Direct Shot connects to your Dropbox only to let you browse your folders, create new folders, and upload the photos and videos you capture directly to the folder you choose. Your media is transferred directly from your device to Dropbox. Direct Shot also reads your Dropbox account email so it can show which account is connected. Direct Shot does not download or store the contents of files already in your Dropbox, and it does not send your Dropbox account data to any external server operated by Direct Shot or third parties.

Direct Shot's use of information received from the Dropbox API complies with the Dropbox Developer Terms and Conditions. We do not use Dropbox user data for advertising, and we do not sell it, share it, or use it to train machine-learning or AI models.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "last updated" date.
