FAQ

Where do my photos and videos go?

Directly to the iCloud folder you've selected as your destination. You can set up as many destinations as you want and switch between them before each shot.

Why don't my photos appear in the Camera Roll?

That's by design — Direct Shot saves to your iCloud folder instead of Photos. This keeps your library clean and your files organized exactly where you want them.

What if I'm offline?

Direct Shot saves the file to your device first. iCloud uploads it automatically the next time your connection is restored.

What iCloud plan do I need?

Any iCloud plan works, including the free 5GB tier — as long as you have available storage.

How do I use the widget?

Add the Direct Shot widget to your home screen or lock screen from the Widgets menu. It shows your current destination and opens the camera in one tap.

How do I change video quality settings?

Tap the Settings icon from the main screen. Resolution and frame rate options are filtered to what your device actually supports.

How do I change image quality settings?

Tap the Settings icon from the main screen. Resolution and file size options are available based on your preference.
